MASSIVE TREE PLANTATION AT NOAPARA CARSHED

Kolkata, Date: 15.07.2024: In recent years, rapid urbanization has led to the widespread cutting down of trees to accommodate expanding infrastructure. This relentless deforestation has resulted in significant environmental degradation, affecting air quality, climate stability, and biodiversity. As trees are felled to make way for urban development, the ecological balance is disrupted, underscoring the urgent need for reforestation and conservation efforts.
To achieve this, a tree plantation drive was undertaken on 15th July by Metro Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (MRWWO) at Noapara Carshed.
P Sreelatha, President, Metro Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (MRWWO) started this drive by planting a sapling and other members of MRWWO also participated in it. P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway and senior officers of Metro Railway also participated in this massive drive for making our environment cleaner and greener.
A total of 1000 fruit-bearing saplings will be planted during this massive drive.
